“ Today we were driving by at lunch time and saw the "now serving smashburgers Friday and Saturday 11-2" sign. The biscuits here are already amazing. They have a dish called the WAM (What A Mess) with gravy and potatoes and bacon, and go ahead and just get a chicken breast on top. Amazing! So we park and head into the small corner shop to order at the counter. There are a few tables inside and a lot more out back on the sidewalk. Service was fast and friendly and I ordered the double smash with a Tot Waffle! The burger is amazing. I couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day. Thin but still juicy, with a delicious flavor! And the Waffle Tot (it's actually Tot Waffle I believe) was fantastic. Like a potato waffle with scallions, and I'm not sure what else was in it but it tasted like a loaded baked waffle potato and I'm probably going to get one every time I go here now. Which will be as many Fridays at lunch that I can manage! I'll get some pics next time. It was all business this trip. ”
“ Omgggg came across this place on an insta roundup of brekkie sandwiches and they did not disappoint! The cashier helped us decide and she did not steer us wrong! We got the sunrise clucker which was so delicious! We added on the biscuit w jam which felt so nostalgic. We also got some sort of peach cinnamon roll thing? All of it was decedent and amazing. We rolled out of there hahaha Sat outside on a sunny morning! Not much indoor seating but that doesn't matter to us :) Def want to go back for the smash burger! ”
“ This was my first time here even though I have passed this place many times driving or walking by. Each time, telling myself that I would try this place out. I was disappointed that I had never tried it sooner. The food was delicious. The decor is very rustic and has lots of pictures of farm life. I was wondering if they were old family photos? That would have been a nice touch. Being our first time, Jada (idk if I spelled that right?) was super helpful at explaining what was on the menu and gave some suggestions on what to get. She said everything is made fresh daily! She was super friendly, attentive and welcoming! We ended up getting what she recommended which were the biscuits and gravy and an egg sandwich with fried chicken. We both shared each one and they both were amazing. My friend doesn't like biscuits and gravy but really liked the ones from here. The hot sauce on the tables added a great flavor to the sandwich. We sat outside because it was such a nice day but they also have a few tables on the inside as well. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. They have a take out window, which could be a good option if you're worried about time because the wait could be a while on the weekends Parking may be an issue since there are only two parking spots for the restaurant, the others are for the liquor store next door. You would most likely need to find street parking if coming here. ”
“ We've been itching to try this spot for awhile and so glad we braved the crowd and parking situation. Everything was fantastic from the biscuit sandwiches to the coffee! ”
“ Came in the morning on a weekday and got an egg sandwich with sausage. The biscuit was very soft and flakey. The egg was delicately scrambled with cheese. The sausage was fried and I initially thought it was fried chicken but it was a welcome surprise, very flavorful, thicker than a preformed frozen patty. It was obviously a made in house and hand formed sausage patty. It came with a small container of apple sauce which I found unnecessary as I prefer a savory breakfast. It was a little pricy, but overall the sandwich was very well done the delicate biscuit went perfectly with the delicately prepared eggs. I wish there were jalapeños or maybe a salsa to spice it up. Parking is mostly on the street, there 2 parking spots on the left that are reserved for Sunnyboys the others are reserved for the liquor store so just pay attention to what the stalls say. There's a few tables inside but it's kinda small. They take online orders and there's a pick up window so I suggest that as an option. I'll be back to try one of the rosemary fried chicken biscuit sandwiches maybe the mother clucker. There's also some freshly baked muffins in the pastry case that I want to try too. ”
“ The biscuits here are very soft and buttery! I got the biscuits and gravy with their country fried steak - so good! The gravy the star of the dish, even after I was full, I couldn't stop digging into the gravy - it was bursting in flavors. My husband order the egg sandwich with bacon and sausage. While he enjoyed the sandwich, we think all the add ons made it too difficulty to eat the sandwich. I don't recommend doing what he did :) The parking wasn't the easiest but we found parking. ”
“ Food was delicious just as we remembered it from last time. They changed the inside seating and now have outside seating. We got two breakfast sandwiches, two coffee, an orange juice and a banana loaf for my daughter. Total $43 with how prices have sky rocketed I can see how the prices have increased. But the food was delicious non the less. Service was good the guy in the front explained the menu as I was a little confused. We finished EVERYTHING ”
“ The shop is small but really cute. Lots of options for sandwiches and pastries The biscuit itself was sooo good! I didn't love the apple butter, but the biscuit is not super dry, there was so much bacon in it, so overall great sandwich ! My boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich, and that was better than the breakfast sandwich. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful and had a really good mayo ! ”
“ We stumbled across Sunnyboys looking for a breakfast spot in the area and I am so glad we came here. The service was great, friendly staff. The food was incredible you can tell everything is made fresh and in house. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The Orange Juice was freshly squeezed and bottled so it's easier to grab and go. We both had breakfast sandwiches both were delicious. If you're in the area give them a visit you won't be disappointed. ”
“ Absolutely amazing!! I'm a biscuits and gravy lover and this place truly hits the spot. I literally had a dream about biscuits and woke up deciding to find somewhere to satisfy that craving. Found this place and it is now going to be one of my top San Diego food recs. The establishment itself is really darling and the service is friendly and personable (shoutout to the extremely sweet cashier). Plenty of seating (especially outdoors) and the corner building especially stands out in the sunshine. As for food!! I got the biscuits and gravy with the rosemary country fried chicken*. SO good and such a generous portion that I had to pack leftovers. Such crispy flavorful meat and the biscuit was so fluffy and tender. Gravy was flavorful. 10/10 Biscuit and butter and jam was also so yummy. Fluffy biscuit yet again. Butter was fresh and whipped. Jam was sweet but not excessively so. 10/10 I also got a blueberry biscuit for the next morning's breakfast and that was amazing as well. 10/10 Can't wait to come back. *(It could also be the country fried steak. I'm not sure as I'm writing this review a month later and can't tell from my own pictures LOL.) ”
